zvezda family home
zvezda family home
We are very pleased to offer for sale a unique property here in the Targovishte region.
The property is situated in the beautiful village of Zvezda which is approx 10km from the town of Popovo and 1 hr 30 mins to the coast.
As you enter the village, a lake is on your left hand side, where the locals happily fish in their rowing boat.
The village shop has recently been taken over by a young family and gives you a warm welcome. With only 1 road into the village, you are safe from the noise of heavy goods vehicles, if you are unlucky, you may get stuck behind a man with his horse and cart, or one of the few tractors that are used to work the land.
There is a mix of people here, young families, middle age and the older generation. This isn't one of the many dying villages, in some respects, speaking to them, the village is getting better each passing year.
The roads are good when compared to what you may have heard and getting around in all seasons is quite easy.
On to the property now. It has had a lot of work already done for you. Gone is the outside WC and in with a custom design shower room complete with sink and Toilet. All with a new water connection including the meter.
There are two living areas, the main house and a second guest accommodation .
There is also a small fitted kitchen with laminate floor, in fact, all the floors have been replaced and there is electricity. Just across an original covered stone path is the main house.
The basement has not been touched, but is an easy conversion if you require more space.
To enter the house, a new balcony area has been constructed,a perfect place to have your morning coffee.
The house itself is open plan. New floors and the joists have been put in, the walls rendered and electricity sockets and lights put in a more orthodox position.
Ceilings with exposed beams have also been added. There is a sleeping area, living room, dining room, small kitchen and a spare room. A water connection has been added to the spare room making a Bathroom easy enough to do.
The basement could really do with being utilised more than it currently has been. So the spare room could be made into an internal staircase. The windows are good with half of them replaced with double glazing, the roof doesn't leak and there is a Petchka (fire) in the living room with a wood fired cooker in the dining area.
The gardens are beautiful.
To the side is what I like to call the Paddock and along the boundary is a living hedge. When I try to see how many different fruit trees are here, I lose count. Walnuts, Peach, Cherry, Apple, Pear, Plum as well as wild roses. The views from this part are stunning, overlooking fields, forests and mountains.
There is a another 2 areas of the garden, the back which was used for growing the worlds largest Tomatoes (I cannot prove the worlds largest statement, but they are big) and the front that has been grass seeded. To protect your privacy, one of the largest, still standing outbuildings we've seen here, spans the entire length of the front garden. Not that you get much vehicle or foot traffic, should any come along they are unable to see in.
Talking of the outbuildings, the craft that went into building them is something to be seen. And, they are still standing today and almost the same condition as when they were built. The largest could easily be converted into another guest house with minimal planning permission.
The outside footpaths and huge driveway have all been graveled and it's gated.
There are several outside relaxing and eating areas.
The main house balcony, a sheltered patio, places to hang hammocks between trees, whilst you listen to the birds during the day or crickets during the night. The night sky here is amazing, with such little light pollution, the sky comes alive.
